Massachusetts – Schedule R/NR Nonresident and Part-Year Resident
Per the Massachusetts Form 1-NR/PY Instructions, page 3:
- Were you a Massachusetts resident for part of the 2012 tax year?
- While you were not a resident of Massachusetts in tax year 2012, did you receive Massachusetts source income (e.g., from a job in Massachusetts)?
If you answered "Yes" to both line 1 and line 2, you must file both as a Nonresident and Part-Year Resident. Fill in the "Filing as both a nonresident and part-year resident" oval below the address section of the form if this category applies to you.
