Only returns from the current year and up to two previous years are available. Older returns cannot be accessed. If you need access to other return years, see IRS Tax Topic 156.

To access a return, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your TaxAct account online.
2. Under My Returns & Details, choose the appropriate year (current tax year or up to two years prior) from the drop-down list.
3. Locate your return and click Open Return.
   
   • If you have printed or e-filed, you will see a Save as PDF option to the left of the Open Return button.
   • The return will be downloaded as a PDF, which can be opened on a device that has a web browser or PDF reader.
   • If you don’t see the link, go to the FAQ View Return as PDF instead.

If using the TaxAct Desktop or TaxAct Professional Editions, TaxAct does not archive returns on your TaxAct online account. For more information, see:
