TaxAct supports Form MI-1040CR-7 (Home Heating Credit). To enter the information for Form MI-1040CR-7:

TaxAct Online

1. From within the return, navigate to the State tab from the side menu.
2. Click Michigan under the State tab to access the Michigan Quick Q&A Topics screen.
3. Click Credits from the list of topics.
4. On the screen titled Credits for your Michigan State Taxes, add Home Heating Credit.
5. Enter information as applicable.

Desktop

1. From within the Return, navigate to Q&A from the menu bar at the top of the program.
2. Navigate to the State tab and click Continue to begin the State Q&A Process.
3. Click Credits from the list of topics.
4. On the screen titled Credits for your Michigan State Taxes, add Home Heating Credit
5. Enter information as applicable.

NOTE: If you are filing electronically and Form MI-1040CR-7 has been completed, it will be sent with the Michigan Individual Income Tax Return (MI-1040). If you are paper filing Form MI-1040CR-7 with the individual income tax return (MI-1040), include the completed MI-1040CR-7 with the return.
