Protection Plus – Remove from Your Account
If you’ve signed up for Tax Protection Plus program but have decided you no longer wish to use it, you can remove it from your account.
Note:
- If you remove Tax Protection Plus from your account within 30 days of your purchase, you’ll receive a full refund.
- If you remove Tax Protection Plus from your account more than 30 days after your purchase, you won’t receive a refund.
To remove Tax Protection Plus, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your TaxAct account.
- In the left navigation menu, click My Return, then click My Return Details.
- Under Payment Information, click My Return Fees, then click Pay Now.
- On the Order Summary page, next to Audit Defense, click Remove.
