If you have received the message Error – Must have Internet Explorer 5.5 or later when attempting to electronically file your return, you will need to either update or install Internet Explorer 5.5 or later. Electronic filing requires you to have Internet Explorer 5.5 or later installed. Our software utilizes one of the modules in Internet Explorer to create the file that is transmitted. You don’t have to use it, but you do have to have it installed.
