Professional Editions: Client Portals – Messenger
Using Client Portals Messenger, you can:
- Exchange messages with your client.
- Export a transcript of your conversation with that client.
To message your client (taxpayer), follow these steps:
- In TaxAct Pro, click the Portals tab.
- Alternatively, log into My Account and click Client Portals.
- Click the Clients tab.
- Locate the client in the list and click once to open their Portal details.
- Tip: You can use the Search bar or click a column header to sort.
- Click the Messages tab.
- Type in the Write your message here… box to send a new message.
- You can also use the search box to locate a previous message.
- You can export messages from this client (taxpayer), as needed.
- A single message is limited to 1,000 characters, including spaces. You can send as many messages back and forth as needed.
- It is possible to delete a message after it has been sent; however, it will display a “You delete a message” bubble in place of the deleted message.
- You can edit sent messages.
- Messages do not expire.
