Qualified Hybrid Vehicles
2010 will be the last year to purchase a hybrid vehicle and be eligible for the Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit credit on Form 8910 ‘Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit’. Vehicles must be purchased on or before 12/31/10 to claim the credit on your 2010 return. The Internal Revenue Service has acknowledged that the following 2010 and 2011 vehicles meet the requirements to be considered qualified hybrid motor vehicles for the Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit.

- BMW – ActiveHybrid X6 – $1,550
- Cadillac – Escalade Hybrid 2WD & 4WD – $2,200
- Chevrolet – Malibu Hybrid – $1,550
- Chevrolet – Silverado Hybrid C15 2WD – $2,200
- Chevrolet – Silverado Hybrid K15 4WD – $2,200
- Chevrolet – Tahoe Hybrid C1500 2WD – $2,200
- Chevrolet – Tahoe Hybrid K1500 4WD – $2,200
- Ford – Escape Hybrid 4×2 – $750 to $3,000 depending on date of purchase
- Ford – Escape Hybrid 4×4 – $650 to $2,600 depending on date of purchase
- Ford – Fusion Hybrid – $850 to $3,400 depending on date of purchase
- GMC – Sierra Hybrid C15 2WD – $2,200
- GMC – Sierra Hybrid K15 4WD – $2,200
- GMC – Yukon Hybrid C1500 2WD – $2,200
- GMC – Yukon Hybrid K1500 4WD – $2,200
- GMC – Yukon Denali Hybrid C1500 2WD – $2,200

- Mercury – Mariner Hybrid 4×2 – $750 to $3,000 depending on date of purchase
