The TaxAct 2020 Professional and Consumer 1040 Editions include the ability to import state withholding numbers from a W-2, for those states that allow it.

States that do not allow year to year transfer of withholding numbers include:

• Alabama
• Arizona
• Connecticut
• Idaho
• Illinois
• Indiana
• Iowa
• Kentucky
• Maryland
• Minnesota
• North Dakota
• South Carolina
• Virginia
• West Virginia
• Wisconsin

If a W-2 contains information from any of these states, the withholding numbers will not import.
