If you purchased unlimited federal filing with your TaxACT Preparer’s program, you may e-file returns for that tax year at no additional charge no matter when you file. 

If you need to file returns for a different tax year, you must purchase the TaxACT program for that year. For example, if you purchased unlimited federal filing for the 2011 tax year, you cannot e-file 2010 or 2012 returns with your 2011 TaxACT program. In January 2013 you will still be able to file 2011 returns, but would need to purchase TaxACT 2012 Preparer’s Edition to file 2012 returns.
